The Art of Being Unproductive

A fool moves. A wise man travels. A manager makes fools out of wise men.

There are enough books on productivity and time-management out there. I thought I’d add my two cents by inverting the question and asking what we can do to become more unproductive:

  1. Check email once every two minutes

  1. Pick up the phone every time it rings

  1. Subscribe to email newsletters

  1. Start yet another new project while the old projects remain unfinished

  1. Multi-task and lose track of what you were originally working on

  1. Back-off from a task at the first sign of an obstacle or resistance

  1. Call for yet another meeting
